Yacht Club to Close Temporarily- Tuesday, Wednesday

After a successful and busy week at the Yacht Club, Matt Ortt Companies has announced the need to deal with necessary kitchen repairs on May 29 & 30. They are working to maintain quality food & beverage services by having a well-working kitchen.

The management company tells the Ocean Pines Association that:

"The yacht club will be closed Tuesday [May 29] and Wednesday [May 30] this week for kitchen repairs. Once we get all of these repairs done by Wednesday we will reopen Thursday [May 31] morning for lunch at 11 a.m. and be open 7 days a week as usual. But we have to get this work done this Tuesday and Wednesday. Sorry for the short notice."

The Beach Club, in Ocean City, will remain open.

Wave of Positive Reviews

The Yacht Club opened its doors on Thursday, May 17 to crowds eager to check out the facility's new menu, decor and management. Here's what some of the guests on Facebook are saying about their experiences:

Sheila Hastings Blosveren said: Since the remodel years ago, we wanted to like this place—for it to be mediocre at least. Nope! Every year we were disappointed UNTIL this season. The new physical changes, menu improvements, and service are fabulous!! I highly recommend the meatloaf, wings, cheesesteak, and pretzel—I’m sure there’s more awesome food, but this is all we’ve had so far. The management, menu, and service have finally met up with the view!! Plus, the bartender Killian always has a smile and will make you laugh. We go out a lot and this may be our new favorite place.
Jen Fordham Hybki said: *outside bar-service was great *Inside restaurant-service was great (Brandon) *food was wonderful, we went with the Key West fish dip and Conch fritters-awesome and moved to the black & blue flatbread and clams casino. I would recommend all of these. The management, they know what they are doing
Elisabeth Scott said: We sat at the inside bar and had a very friendly atmosphere, both with the customers and the wait staff. Our server Nikki was most accommodating! I had the peel and eat shrimp - they were huge. Great value for the money. My friend had a sandwich with the best sweet potato fries I've every tasted - crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, piping hot, and served with a dip. It was a great evening and this time I can say for sure that I'll be back!
