Summer Live Music Line-Up Kicks Off May 6


Warm breezes are starting to blow across the Yacht Club patio, which means outdoor live music is ready to start!


This year's lineup, which runs May 6 through Oct. 8, is a talented mix of local favorites and new performers. As always, live music on the patio is free and open to the public.


The ever-popular Great Train Robbery will kick off the season on May 6 from 6-10 p.m. Hailing from Baltimore, GTR features a smoky Southern sound that has entertained audiences for over 44 years. The band will return to the Yacht Club on May 29, July 3, August 12 and Sept. 4.

Popular tribute acts who will once again make an appearance on the Yacht Club stage include Eclipse, the Ultimate Journey Tribute; the Elvis-inspired Bob Lougheed & the Memphis Mafia; and Lee Alverson's Tribute to Elton John & Billy Joel.

New and notable performers include:

  • Dylan Zangwill, American's Got Talent season 16 contestant

  • Hometown Strangers, five Pennsylvania musicians who play country, southern rock and rock

  • Scorpion Rose, a four-member band covering classic rock, country, Latin & hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s and today

  • The Benderz, a touring cover band out of Philadelphia who have played to thousands of fans all over the country

  • Downhill Uprise, an Ellicott City, Maryland-based band that brings a high-energy and crowd-engaging performance

  • Brian and Things, featuring Delmarva musician Brian Harris

  • Kono Nation, a Philadelphia-area cover band playing everything from classic to Top 40

  • Weird Science, a professional troupe performing char-topping hits fro the 80s, 90s and Pop2k

  • The Big House Band, which has caught the ears of the producers of American Idol, The voice and America's Got Talent

  • Late Last Night, the latest and greatest cover band from two of the Philadelphia area's premier talents

  • The Funsters, playing everything from Sinatra to the Stones to The Beatles to Al Green

The live music season will wrap up with a BoomBox 80s Party on Oct. 8. This totally tubular band will play all of your favorite songs from the best music decade ever. Dress in your favorite 80s attire, or come as you are - just come ready to party like it's 1984!
