The Ocean Pines Yacht Club is sprinting toward summer, having packed the month of May with special events and menus that will make waiting for Memorial Day weekend a bit easier.
On Friday, May 5, the Yacht Club will head south of the border with a full day of Mexican-inspired food and drink specials, and live music with DJ Speedbump from 6-9 p.m.
Beginning at 11 a.m., enjoy $5 margaritas, $3 Modelo drafts and $3 Coronas. Food specials, all available for $12, will include flank steak quesadillas, soft shrimp tacos, soft barbacoa tacos and a dip trio with queso, guacamole and salsa.
Also on May 5, the Yacht Club will host a "Yappy Hour" from 1-3 p.m. Additional Yappy Hours will be held on the first Friday of the month through the summer.
Bring your furry friends to the Yacht Club patio for Tito's giveaways and order from our specialty drink menu (for humans!) and our specialty food menu (for pups!). Each specialty drink purchased will receive a ticket for a Tito's Handmade Vodka prize basket raffled off at the end of the season. Tito's will also donate $1 to the Worcester County Humane Society (up to $5,000) for every specialty Yappy Hour cocktail purchased.
On Saturday, May 6, the Yacht Club's live music series on the patio kicks off with Great Train Robbery from 6-10 p.m.
There's no cover to enjoy this performance, and guests are encouraged to bring their own seating; limited chairs will be available. Outside food, beverages and coolers are not permitted.
On Thursday, May 11, the Yacht Club will debut its new summer lunch, dinner and drink menus. More details coming soon!
On Sunday, May 14, celebrate the special women in your life with the Yacht Club's Mother's Day menu.
This special menu will be offered exclusively on May 14 (the regular lunch/dinner menu will not be available) from open to close; the full drink menu will also be available.
The first 100 mothers to join us will receive a free carnation, and Brian & Things will perform from noon to 4 p.m. Reservations are recommended - call 410-641-7501.
On Sunday, May 21, the Yacht Club's Country Summer Kickoff will be held on the patio from 1-4 p.m.
This special event (no reservations - first come, first served) will feature country-style food and drink specials, live music with the Michael Christopher Trio, a kid-friendly mechanical bull, s'mores over the fire pit, games, giveaways and more.
On Monday, May 22, the Yacht Club will move to daily hours of operation, and the Yacht Club Pool will open for the season on Saturday, May 27.
Additionally, Trivia Night will wrap up for the season on Thursday, May 4, and Bingo Night will finish on Sunday, May 7. Call 410-641-7501 to reserve a table for either of these events.
